Dr. Tayyeb Shabbir is an economist and academic leader specializing in applied econometrics, global macro-financial analysis, financial crises, and economic development, with expertise in Pakistan and emerging economies. He is Associate Dean and Professor of Finance at California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a former Chief of Research at the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics, where he advised the Government of Pakistan on macroeconomic policy and development planning. Dr. Shabbir holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and has been a faculty affiliate at the Wharton School. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and research reports, translating rigorous econometric analysis into policy-relevant insights for institutional and board-level decision-making.
